I just picked up a snap 2000 it's running 3.4.790 and from everything i've read i need at least 3.4.805 to access the 250gb drives i have kicking around. is there anyone out there that might know of an ftp site where 3.4.805 or newer could be aquired?

First, You need to read the notice at the top of the threads.

We do not distribute Copyrighted material on this site. Adaptec Monitors this site, so you will need to go else where.

Contact Adaptec via email sometimes they will provide a link for the last Free Version (3.4.807). Yours being a 2000 will not likely get the link.

Now If your 2000 is a v1 it does not support hd >137gig.

Update: Glad to see adaptec sent you a link, you must have gaught them on a good day.

I sent an e-mail to there sales department. and they replied to it fairly quickly. So i called the sales rep, and of course he wants to sell me the latest model, but wasn't too pushy. Then he said that "he wasn't suppose to" but since the software was so old anyways, he sent me the link for the latest full install.

i always found that the tech support department has no incentive to really help you. but the sales department has more power and will help you more if they think they can build a relationship with you and get something eventually.
