Default port forwarding snap server 1000

Hi,
I have a web cam - port forwarded to 80 and have tried forwarding the snap to use as a web server to port 8080 on a wrt54g router.

using dyndns Web Hop service to 'example.dyndns,net:8080' and get page can not be displayed message.

Any ideas?

Have you set the snap up to be a web server and have you changed the pointers for the file locaton? (found under Network settings/web). You normally need a index the files to. Test locally before going through the port forward.

Thanks for responding. The snap is set to be a web server. I have not changed the pointers, but shouldn't I at least be able to get to a login prompt. Locally I can see the share.

Thx

The web part is not part of the admin login. It's design as a web server. Which needs the pointers set, It defaults to a hidden EMPTY share.
