If you read the Notice at the top of the threads, it's illegal for us to distribute copyrighted material. And YES Adaptec monitors this site. So I would suggest that you do your searching on torrents. There is no legal way to acquire the images unless you made your own image file when the unit was working.

I thought the sup files were the apaptec ® and © - i was under the impression that the .bin file was just a file located on the drive that the hardware looked for when it was booting.
Sorry for the post but i didn't realise the .bin was a full backup of the drive. Thanks to all for comments anyway. Consider the topic closed, I don't want to get anyone in trouble. |

Does not hurt to ask, we just can distribute copyrighted material.
Search the torrent sites, you may get lucky. And/or contact others who were looking for it. But use their email address and do not use the site (PM) for illegal activity. The file has been called several things. Your 1000 may use the 2200.bin file. Only v1 1000 need the 1000.bin, most all others use the 2200. Here are the names to search on 1000.bin, snap1000.bin, 2200.bin and snap2200.bin.

Here is the information on LED patterns.
http://wiki.procooling.com/index.php...r_LED_Patterns Also, you only needed the first 25MB of this 15GB drive. Unless, you are trying to transfer all of the 15GB information to the 160GB hard drive then that's ok. Make sure that you try CS or Master on your hard drive and see what happens. If you do not have the SnapOS v3.4.805 or above you can not get past the 130GB ceiling. I thing you are saying on the LED. System= two flash Lan= ON Disk=?? I don't know what you are saying here."disk on no flash yet" ???? bitor Quote:

You may need to change the jumper sitting on the new HD (you did change them after the copy, right?). Some of the newer drives work best as CS. The older ones Master. Did you use the Linux version of Digital Dolly or the Live CD version? If it does not come up and the jumper change did not work, you need to re-copy the boot tracks again. Solid Disk LED means it doing some drive work, maybe init the drive. Let it go, after 20 min see if you can connect and get to the drive utility.

May want to try Master or singe disk.
If it does not load correctly you need to reload again. Sounds like the errors you had caused problems. Now if this is read errors you 15gig is going south. I prefer the Knoppx Live CD over the Live DD. Then again we have seen some MFG that did not play with the Snaps Hardware.

Early on we (users of this site) discovered that certain drives did not work right with the Snaps. What was determine was the way the snap handled the EIDE interface. This is the reason some drives would work and other not. Surprisingly the Seagates were the most compatiable at the time along with the WD. Maxtors were the worst. There is a BIOS in the SNAP, in the flashram used for the firmware. Another issue was the SMART tech, which goes back to the EIDE controller and BIOS issues. But it's been a long time since any one has had any problems with it. My guess is that you have one of the early models due to the original HD size. I think we had one user that used the MFG utility to change some settings in the HD firmware to make his work. I was also informed that the SnapAppliance changed specific settngs in the HD firmware, but have NO idea as to what. But this was may years ago. Adaptec did update the firmware in these units. There are about 4 different version out that I'm aware of.
