I had a drive go bad, replaced with a larger drive. It took it and formatted it, but the array will not auto take it. I thought it could be the different drive so I ordered the same exact drive, but havent put it in yet
Can you force a resync with the larger drive? When the resync is going on are the shares taken offline? or should I shut down server again and but the same exact drive in it hoping it will auto take the new drive? |

It also auto creates a "share 3" for the drive I replaced (drive 3 or 10010)

Will the shares go offline when trying to resync the raid?

You need to make the HD as a spare before it will resync.
