exactly what my block looked like, just no pelt block.

i dont think anyone should worry about a "bad" block anymore. they are done and over with. you order a block now, you get a good one. that simple

Now that block looks like a nice piece of work. How's it performing?
BTW thanks for shipping that order pretty quick, much appreciated .

i have one crack goint to one of the button head screws holding the clear top on...but its small and its created by to much compression on the o-ring...that and its just to close to the edge...but mine doesnt leak at all and no cracks around the brabs either...been testing it for leaks for 3 days now...with a eheim 1250 pumping through it...mine is nice and flat on the bottom to total indcator reading of .001.......but as far as in the core contact area its not even out a .0001

dont get me wroung i dont like having a crack into one of my screws...but i dont see it causing a problem at all....but i may still get DD to send me a new top...but i believe if u tightin a new top down it will do the same thing again...unless u change the grove that the o-ring seats in

t-tape amd screw the hose barbs in a full 2 rotations. or untill they just get snug. Not tight. Remember the hose barbs are tapered. If you screw them in to tight the force from the taper will crack the acrylic.
