Summary:
Measuring analog signals is hard if you want accuracy. Here are some tips to getting the most out of your equipment: RTFM, RTFM.

Just kidding, of course.

BTW, there are a LOT of good webcasts on eetimes. National Instruments and several other mfgr's have some great tutorials.

- and you can't do squat, with precision, without them

Yeah, that's why it's so difficult for me to purchase on eBay: I cross-ref the p/n with the OEM, then see if they have a manual, before I consider purchasing it.

The Fluke 8840A I just picked up for example, has a manual on fluke.com.

I nearly purchased a 24 bit DAQ unit by Cirrus, but the info was sketchy, and the software was nowhere to be found, even after emailing Cirrus (and they actually replied!).

Almost forgot... I'm still trying to sort out what delta Sigma is all about: got any tips? No matter what doc I read, I just don't get it... :shrug:
