Hello all,
I have a Snap server 2000 I reset it hoping that it would get a DHCP address then I could scan the network. Well.. I guess not. I think the next step would be snap assist right? can anyone help with pointing the direction to where I can download this? thanks |

You are correct Assist will be needed to locate the snap and do the inital setup.

You have 2 options, register with Adaptec and request assist and any updates you may want. You may or may not get them.
You request info then hide your email address. What is the logic in that. If you want help setup your preferences to receive help.

Hey,
Thanks for the advice, I was not aware about the e-mail privacy. It should be changed now. I have tried to register the device, but they will not accept it because it is so old ![]() I would appreciate an e-mail if anybody has time. THANKS! |

I have access to my snap srvr. My snap info is below, It would appear from reading the wiki and other articles, that I need to upgrade the OS ver. in order to upgrade the drives. Based on the information below which upgrade would be best and a link would be great. thanks again. Cybergrouch@gmail.com Model Software Hardware BIOS 2000 series 3.1.626 (US) 2.0.0 2.0.252 |

I imagine he's wanting drives in excess of 137gb. For that he'd need >= OS 3.4.805. Good thing about the 2000 though is that the OS is likely stored on flashram. So all he'll have to do is update the OS, Throw in some new drives and be good to go.

Basically, I was gonna buy a couple of 250gb drives and update the OS, if I can get my hands on it.. Unless you guys suggest I go a different route?
thanks |

Nope, that should work if you get your hands on the OS.
