if so intel should have bought heaps of amd stuff 1st august 2000. and sold them when intel bought out the northwood

This is what you do to a competitor, when you have more money.
You slowly buy their stock, and become a large and larger share holder. Eventually, you own enough stock to influence the company descisions, and if you own that magical 51%, you can literally control the company.

hehe, we got a bewulf cluster at school that we made with some donated money.......10 via c3-866's on a stack in out classroom!! it's really speedy actually, but not so fast considdering it's a cluster. we've been using it for rendering things in povray for fun since it was prety much just a lookey what we can do project
