I have a running snap 4400 configured as a raid 5 set and I just picked up a snap 4200, both are running the latest Guardian OS can I just power down the 4400 and transfer the drives (in order) to the 4200 and reboot or will it break my raid?

If you do not have AV or snap shots running, you should be able too. Have not tried it so I can not say for sure. It all depends if the 4200 had AV and/or snapshots running. If so it's looking for a particular drives and may drop you into recovery mode.
To make sure it is not running av or snapshots. Transfer the OS over to a hd and boot the 4200. It should complain due to a broken raid. Boot in to recovery mode and do a clean install, will requires the GSU file. This will reset all of the markers. And should beable to transfer the raid5 set (4 hd) over. If it was me I would transfer the os over to a new set of drives. Then copy the data across. This would insure a clean setup. So if the 4200 has issues you have not lost your data. Withany new hardare you need to test it to make sure it's working properly before putting it into service.
