Got one sitting around here and I wanted to know if there is any possible way I can use the parts to make a chiller. I'm very n00bish to this "waterchilling" thing, but it sounds like something interesting to get into. Can you guys give me some advice? Your help is appreciated, thanks.

Take a look at the compressor size. That'll give you a good idea what you can do with it. Ideally you'd have 1/4 HP, but thats probably much larger then your fridge would have. Also you'd probably need to add a larger condenser onto it. Most minifridges i've seen have tiny condensors or even none at all since they just run for a few minutes on the hour and thus don't really need to be able to transfer lots of heat.
Edit: Specs here: http://www.lge.com/products/componen...tification.jsp Last edited by redleader; 03-14-2004 at 01:34 PM. |
