Default quick question...

On the inside of most Waterblocks, the copper has a very rough matt surface, whats this called?

Thanks

The DD Maze 4-1 has a sparkly rough finish. It looks like it's been sandblasted and then coated.

The DD blocks don't create much turbulence. I'm surprised they don't develop something which does.

The Swiftech blocks have much better internal layout with the water flowing over a pin matrix.

If Swiftech produced a transparent block then I'd buy it.

Water should be forced to flow over a rough surface.. The ideal surface for a water block would be one with little vanes or pins (as with the Swiftech designs). Sending the water over a relatively smooth surface doesn't have the same cooling effect.

It's the same with radiator design. Most radiators have smooth walled internal water channels. If the internal channels had fins or pins then the cooling which be much more effective.

feathers: Dude the edit button exists for a reason. No need to spam to get your post count up.

gaundi: Just a sandblasted finish. Most blocks don't have it actually.

WTF?

I see a REPLY button x 2.

If we are not supposed to use REPLY as in EVERY other forum then there should be a message with words to that effect on the front page of the website.

I didn't realise there was a competition running to get high post counts?

Never encountered that BS on a forum before.

So on this forum we're supposed to edit our posts to so as not to worry other forum users who worry about post counts?

Never been asked to to that before.

Kind of sux actually.

Ok.. As instructed.. I have edited my own post so as not to cause distress to post counter competitive dudes.

Is there a yearly prize for the post with most hits or something?

Damn! I just made a new reply and hit reply instead of editing my post.

Does this mean I'm now to be cast out from this village?

Cast out, no... we cant really do that. ignored maybe, but looked apon as someone with more than a few brain cells to rub together, most certainly not.

I hate to say it, but i think this forum needs a smilie with a sign that says "Beware the troll".

Thanks jaydee116, you have accomplished in one post what feathers failed to do in 5 :P
