Default What color should I paint my external W/C Box?

I have been tring to get my watercooling setup, setup for a LONG time now and I am Very close.

I have all the parts and have laid them out, but I want it to look good as well so i was going to paint the MDF box that I made to house the W/C setup (which is currently holding me back)
I want to finish the project and get back to O/Cing, but I am unable to make a descision

Please make suggestions on what color would go well with a PC60 with red lights.

Here are my current options (not final)
Silver,
Black,
White,
Clear Coat of Epoxy (slightly yellow when very thick)

Thanks for the help

Blue - white is KKK-ish, black can be misconstrued as supporting slavery and continued oppression of the black man, and silver oxodizes easily in direct sunlight.

Or yellow....

I think you have issues....
so anything painted black "can be misconstrued as supporting slavery and continued oppression of the black man"?
I guess a bride in a white dress is "KKK-ish"... wait you can't see her face ... she has a veil... must be "KKK-ish"
serious issues...

Gulp35 from your chice of colors I'd go with black.
I will be painting my case over the summer.. and will be painting it black...
it is a nice color... and looks real good with a mirror finnish....

gulp, a pic of the case and box might be helpful. black is generally ok. maybe some other color combination like red / grey or metallic blue / silver or something. use your imagination, but stay within your abilities (i.e., dont go for a trick ghost flame job if youve never painted anything in your life lol).

Why not get some thin sheets of aluminium and use that as veneer? Just try to get the same surface finish on them as the PC60 before you glue them to the MDF.

Hmmm, I think you have nothing identifiable as a sense of humor...

And it's "finish".

I don't have a pic of it and since I am waiting to paint it it is dissasembled.

Here is a description.
Fits perfectly underneath the case. 9 inches tall. Silver colored screws hold it together. Brass screws and hinges for the door on the side of it.

I am thinking black would be a good color, and it seems to be the consensus over at ocforums.com

Pics of my case here

tech.thewalkerschool.org/vanderclip/

go down the page and it has a link about my computer. Click on it. Fear the ugly yellow couch.

and in responce to finnish. I think he ment " a mirrored finnish" as in a Person from finland who has been mirrored. Sort of like those Vikings with the Metal Cone Bras.

I say cover it in deep pile green carpet and put the mirrored Finn on top with a little mirrored dog, like they are walking through a field.

Anyone got any idea how I could make my new aluminium water case look like the dull anodized aluminium look? I'm guessing sanding it down or something but I dunno much about metal or anything DIY'ish I got my mums boyfriend to make it for me but it's a little scratchy.

The only way I know to get the annodized look is to annodize it. i tried doing something like it with some silver paint and some sandpaper and it looked like CRAP.

I started painting my box black today and of course it was windy and a ton of natures shit was everywhere and got in the paint.

does anyone have a idea where a good place to paint would be? my dad won't let me paint in the garage or basement or in a place that has less debris (leaves, grass bits, etc.)

With the limits your father has set, wait for a calm day and then get busy.

the way i see it y9ou have two options...
option 1) make a room out of cardboard for outside... several big cardboard boxes should do it... and tape them together

option 2) Just do it in the house.... It is easier to ask for forgivness then it is to ask for permission....

or option C) tell your dad you want to make a big cardboard room... and tell him that you would like to use it in the garage... I magine that his big consern is getting everything covered in paint.
Perents for the most part just have a few major concerns... once you address them they are usualy pretty easy to compremise with... unless of course you have my parents... then forget it... hehehe

Hmmm...How would you anodize something? I'll probably just scrub it down and leave it at that. Any suggestions on how to best do that?

Heh. I remember I used some big cans of paint to form a ramp and it spilled all over the pavement (sidewalk). Now this pain was from my dads company which they used to paint the floors of the factories (i.e. industrial floor paint). After about 15 years there is still bits left. One day when I went to paint my walls I picked up this paint insteado f the other grey my dad had bought - oops. At least I know it'll last
