![]() ![]() ![]() I'm running a swifty MCP600 pump and MCW5000 waterblock, fill/bleed kit and the MCR80 Radiator (super small btw), the block might be changed out to a Dtek White Water in the future and a MCW50 GPU block might be added but i dunno still since i have a zalman 80C-HP vga cooler and 120mm fan blowing on the 9800pro. Is it worth the money and change to the WB? I'm also getting a new case and I'm gonna pick either a full tower or mid-tower. Would adding a NB waterblock on the MSI K7N2-L be better than just changing out the current heatsink and dropping in a better one...I dunno if the performance gain is worth the restriction in the loop. So in terms of current and future upgrades which radiator would benefit me the most and whether my MCP600 can perform with all those restrictions? Also can I find Tygon tubing at my local Home Depot? Thx ![]() |

Home depot does not stock Tygon, try either McMaster Carr, or MSC industrial supply co (MSCdirect.com) for Tygon in retail quantities. You want formulation R-3603.
A heater core will offer less restriction and cost less than any of the commercial alternatives. For lowest restriction get a single pass core, they offer less than 1/4 the resistance of a dual pass core, but it may be hard to find an SP core that will fit in your case. The Swifty pump is one of the stronger pump options out there, it should be able to handle almost anything you can throw at it. Gooserider

adding a gpu block probably won't have much of an effect, if any at all. adding a block to the nb will again, have very little effect, if any. unless your looking to spend money, or want uniformity, there just isn't a performance reasons i can see water cooling them, given your current setup.
bix extreme II is going to be your better option. heater cores are more effective and have less resistance compared to radiators (bix extremes are nothing more than a heater core slightly modified to fit within the constraints of a tower). for $20-$50 (depending on size) you can get heater cores that may not be as pretty as a bix, but are easier on the pocket. http://www.airspirit.net/ has a heater core database that can help you find a heater core to fit your needs, if the database is every brought back up. |

check out this guys... it's looking like a great set-up, he used the dangerden heatercore and it fit in the top of a lian-li pc 60, the jr-20 is smaller and i assume will fit fine. |
