Default Primprig Reviews the TDX + S-TDX

It compares the two blocks using the #4 nozzle to the RBX and the WW.

Surprisingly they both outperform the WW.

Unfortunately those results don't coincide with the reliable reviews of the Internet. Reading it would probably be a waste of my time and bandwidth.

The people at pimprig do not care about accuracy. They even stated so. Anyway i had to stop reading it at this point.

Quote:
Tests were run at the stock clocks of 166 x 11 and a vCore of 1.65V idle and load. Load was tested with 100% CPU utilization by way of F@H. Tests were also run with an O/C of 225 x 11.5 and a vCore of 2V to build plenty of heat. Again F@H was used to get 100% CPU utilization. After every block change, the CPU was cleaned with acetone, dried, and a fresh install of Ceramique was applied. I prefer to use AS5, cured to AS specs but the 50-200 hour cure time was obviously not possible due to review time constraints.

All tests were run for 2 hours and temps were taken at 30 minute intervals. All the numbers were then averaged and recorded. Probes were set up under the CPU and 1 inch out from the center as per AMD recommendation.

I'm using the CoolerMaster Aerogate ll for the temperature readout. This system is accurate enough to get a realistic look at temps for comparison. I am not claiming this to be the end all in accuracy, but the temps you will see posted below are relative to each other, and will reflect what the average PC user has available to measure temps. Everything that I could possibly do to ensure the uniformity and accuracy of these test results were done.
Everything in red is just rediculous in this day and age of reviews. If they can't step up they need to get out of the way and quit doing a dis-service to their readers with inaccurace misleading information.

well, at least we got to see pics of the silver tdx

(although they've probably been posted/linked to already, this is the first I've seen them)

yeah, i saw the link on [H], and thought the same thing as everyone else, "after reviews from billa, pheastus, and even joe from oc, why does anyone even bother testing and reviewing waterblocks anymore?"

i guess danger-den had a lot of samples laying around and mailed blocks to nearly every enthusiast site on the planet. of course, i'm sure when it comes to online reviews, quantity is by far more important to the block vendors/manufacturers than quality is.
