On the original topic, one of the major issues with a non-flat coldplate has got to be mounting it, any proposals on how to solve that?

Lap it, get it lapped, or buy a new one. :shrug: I thought the original question turned out to have more to do with plate geometry and heat spreading than flattness.

That's what I was talking about. If the plate geometry is as optimal as possible, that tends to imply a much more difficult mounting solution than just a flat piece of copper...
Of course I could be wrong as no one has actually proposed any alternative...
