would this drillpress handle copper?

My dad said he might get one to have around the house, and I'm wondering if it would handle copper if I went in nice and slow.

Yeah, I got the same one just under a different brand name. Works ok. Just use short stubby drill bits so they don't flex and drill slow with WD-40.

They tend to shake a lot when you get above 10mm diameter drill bits. Does work, but make sure you've bolted it down to a table nicely before hand

Lol, alright. Is that just because it's only 1/3hp or what causes all the shaking?

it shakes because the spindle speed is too high. Turn the speed down if you are using big drill bits

What Slater said and the spindle/chuck on mine is a little wobbly aswell. The bigger the bits the more effect the wobble has. These are not precision drill presses but they work fine.

I have this drill press albit a bit older. The drill chuck is a tapperd shank and doesn't always get in properly thus a bit of a shake or wobble..you can actually center it with a dial indicator and a hammer
