Playing with desktops

Does anyone know how to make the red hair pics icons? I'm currently having to do the desktop as html, and activating active desktop *yuck!*

I have no clue honestly... I picked up the pic @ the Redhead Gallery (Which has like 600+ pics of redheads... yum, yum), and the picture just said WOW!!!!!!!
