Default Help! Damaged T-bird

In experimenting with different water blocks, I have damaged my T-bird. Let me describe it. If you look at the face of it, there are three chips right beneath the L1 and L2 bridges. The two on the left had some sort of silver looking covering. This covering is now gone. Here is the question:
Is it possible this covering was connecting the leads to this chip? Is there some way to repair this damage. I really don't need another keychain. And this was a 1.33 T-bird. I'd love to experiment with trying to repair it before discarding. It was a sweet overclocker.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The reason it didnt work is because you hosted it off your hard drive, and we dont have access to it. You need to get it hosted somewhere online, like geocities, or perhaps one of the mods will be kind enough to post it if you send it to them.

Thanks for the info. I understand what you are talking about.

Plan B: let's try this and see if it reproduces on the Forum page to scale. If not, I'll just have to forget it.

Using this primitive sketch, chips 1 & 2 had a silver looking covering on them at one time. Now the covering is gone. It is present on chip 3. I can see four tiny posts along the top and four along the bottom of each of these small chips (1 and 2).

What I do not know, is was the covering some type of conductive material that connected the posts electrically? Too, can I replace this covering with something that does the same thing and get this chip working again?

Any help will be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks,
