Default Anyone heard anything about the new boards w/ the ALi chipset?

I just locked this topic, because it so old that a recent reader would think i'm a complete idiot .

There is a review on HardOCP, the ALi board beats the KT133 but gets beat by the KT133a (KT7A) even though its DDR and the KT133a isn't.

EDit: Oops, I just noticed how old those other posts were. I don't guess my comment wasn't too helpful, what a suprise.

If your talking about the new Ali Magic boards, I heard they suck. I'm pretty sure there is a benchmark for them in Si Soft Sandra "Special edition" and they are really hurting.

I have an IWILL board KK266 chipset it's one of the best, anyway you can adjust the voltage up to 1.85 volts, in the BIOS but any higher you there is a procedure to modify resistors on the board.

If you're looking for max OCing havoc, I would say spend the little extra cash and get a AMD 760 based board. Overall (check the reviews for backup), the 760 chipset beats 'em all, hands down. That is of course, if you're using a new DDR Athlon with PC2100 RAM. With that combination, you can't be beat. Check out the Asus board (it's the 760 that comes to mind right now...)
