Default Any New Years Resolutions?

Last year I got an exercise bike for Christmas. I rode it pretty religiously for the first half of the year and then got busy/out of shape again. This year I got a set of dumbbells and weights for Christmas and have been working out every day since. So I am getting a bit of a jump on the New Year by already having a week of working out. My goal is to lose this last 20 lbs or so left over from when I did Atkins, build some muscles, and to generally get my physique in good shape. I figured I'd just post this here so that people can either add their own resolutions, bump the thread to shame me/others, and update their progress.

Basically my goal is to weigh about 170-175 so by late spring (198 this am) and then keep it off all year with working out and getting buff. I was 204 on Dec 24th and as I said have lost 6 lbs in the first week of working out again (but that's the water weight and probably the rest will be a lot harder).

yea, me too. I plan on exercising throught the year, instead of just losing mass weight in the summer then bring it back on during school, like i have been doing for the past 6 or 7 years.

New years resolutions:

1) Don't spend another dime on water cooling stuff this year.
2) Spend less on overall computer stuff this year. (hehe, bought most of what I want before the new year)
3) Pay off half the balance of what I own on my truck this year. (Owe $10,000 and want to cut it to $5,000 by year end).
4) Get a grasp of PHP and MySQL.
5) Get my mill built and working this year.
6) Spend less time browsing the net and actually work on things instead.

That covers the important stuff.

Business

1 - at least 3 successful design projects completed (and hopefully marketed) by year end, resulting in a full time pD job.

2 - register my website + freelance company

3 - increase my model making skills, continue to build up my workshop. Create more industry links in Wellington + Auckland.

Personal

1 - more exercise and hopefully reduce the annoyances of an operation from 1 year ago (!) through it - want to be back down to 65-70kg (am 80ish now [176lb])

2 - Travel more in the North Island (of nz)

3 - learn to ski... (probably wont happen though, lol)

4 - Get a new car (one thats not totalled, thanks very much combined taxi's)

Good luck. I quit drinking at the end of 2003. I realized it was becoming a bigger part of me than I wanted it to be, and since I become abusive when I'm trashed, it was time to stop.

This year I am going to put my focus back into art and writing. I want to get busy by writing horror stories. First thing though, I need to re-learn how to write.

Maybe...

I'm on morphine these days. I had a C-spine fusion back in 2002 to fix 2 slipped disks in my neck. I'm only 26 too

So it's been a week. How is progress going? I was 193 this am on the scales and I can definitely tell I have some muscles developing. I haven't missed a workout yet (every day since Dec 25th). I feel pretty good though I'm concerned that progress is gonna be slow on the "getting buff" portion of this project

I lost 4lbs as of yesterday. I was hoping to lose 15 over the winter break, but im happy I at least lost something.

I'm planning on running more at school and start to work out some. My school offers personal trainers for "free", I might take advantage of that.

The trip to New Zealand and then crunch time at work after my return has sorta put the kibosh on working out. I'm going to try and get started with a daily routine again when this week (we'll see). I weighed 187 this am; not bad considering I haven't been exercising regularly.
