Default which pump

Hi, I am looking for the best pump for this setup:

(4) 2-302 heater cores
(1) Storm G4
(1) Fusion HL
(1) DD Chipset block

I will be using 3/8 tubbing and I will stretch it over the 1/2 barbs on the blocks above.

Thanks.

Use one or two DDCs (in series if two)

Ideally mod them.

Or two Aquaextreme 50Z's (in series).

The DDC has the benefit (to you) of being 3/8". When it's modded, it'll be the best single pump easily available.

Given this configuration, would you get a better overclock with a 10 ft head pump than with a 6 ft head pump ? (assuming the temperature will probably not vary more than 2-3 degres)

DDC is the only way to go. It's quiet, small, and it's built for 3/8" ID tubing. It's got plenty of head, which is somewhat important for a restrictive loop like yours. The G4 is more restrictive than any other widely available commercial waterblock (I know they have much more restrictive designs in Europe), except for the NexXos XP, so the extra head is well worth it, especially considering you'll have two more blocks in the loop in addition to the G4.
