Hey ProCool guys. In case you didn't know, Artic Silver 3 is out. They have a review at Mikhailtech, and it looks VERY promissing. But I wanna hear the REAL deal from you guys.
![]() So prove your rant (which I agree with) and dish out a quality review!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

hehe, I saw it a day or two ago. If you send us some, I'm sure Joe/Una/Me/Kev/Bev/Onda/Ck/IH will review it. Or something like that anyway
![]() It isn't offically out yet, but I like how it is a greeny-silver colour. Lets see them do a blue one |

I already have some, they sent it to me like 3 weeks ago. Looks great, I'll leave it to pHaestus to do the review, he's got the thermal diode that actually shows a difference between heatsink compounds, he's the only one really qualified to do it. Granted, it'll be on his site, not procooling, but the info is more important than the brand name.

thermal paste testing is a nightmare.... I will give it a shot though. It is unfortunate that a few of these pastes "cure" over a few days, so both short term and long term testing has to be done. The heatsink has to be lapped between applications, and several replicates have to be done. There can be large differences in temp depending on how well the thermal paste is applied (hopefully the replicates pick that up).
My Asus mobo is acting up something awful as well with the XP. I have heard that there is a beta bios that might let me overclock via fsb again with it; I need to see if I can do anything else to get it running properly. Otherwise I might also need to pick up a mobo as well :/ |

the other thing pH, is that some TIM's want to be heated up, and 'melted' into the cpu die. I know almost all of the tape type ones need it, but some of the normal ones do too
