Default Noobie in H2O cooling needs some help in watercooling gear and tips..

Hi everyone...i am setting up my watercooling system and i just purchased this pump from ebay:
Eheim 1000L/hour pump

and i am planning to get this radiator (Watercool MO-RA 2 Pro):
Watercool MO-RA 2 Pro

Some discussion in german and manufacturer website.
http://www.alphacool.de/perl/shop.pl...6&art_id=14207
----------------------------------

Of course..i'll get getting the Alphacool waterblocks for my CPU (FX 53) and ATI X800XT vid card. In addition i am also getting the HD watercooling enclosure for my 2 15.3K Cheetah SCSI drives:
HD Watercooling

now the question is..according to the radiator's description, i can run passive..I would like my system to be as quiet as possible, will i still get acceptable temperature with that radiator running passively?

Pump and res combo looks cool, just make sure you get the right voltage pump. Here in the states it would be 110V, on their site they have it as 230V. Pretty sure Canada (assuming your in Toronto Canada) is the same as the states.

As for the radiator that is one big rad. Have no idea what it is capable of. Will certainly have to do with what computer parts your running. Even if you can't run it passively though you can run some 120mm fans at low speed and still hardly hear it over typing on the keyboard.

That rad looks puzzling; I'd like to see a closeup of it.

The pump has similar specs as an Eheim 1048; max head: 2 meters.

The rad looks like it's going to be pretty restrictive:

The cooling water flows triply parallel through 60 pipe rows.
I'd hesitate to use this rad with that pump.

From the description, this rad is a triple pass; the coolant goes in, up, down, up, then out. This is very restrictive, and the pump you selected may struggle to get some flow through it.

Some pressure drop figures would come in handy here.
