I've got dual 6800 GTs on an ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe.
Tried the ntune and rivatuner and a few other programs but nothing will allow me to change the gpu core or mem speeds. Its claiming an internal error in the cards hardware. Is there a way around this? Do I need to play with the card's firmware to make something happen?

Isn't there a known issue with the ASUS board and overclocking in SLI mode? Can't recall if it's only with newer BIOSes or particular driver versions or what though sorry.

I tried the 1006, 1008, and the new 1009 beta bios.
I can always roll the bios back further. -------------

Been looking around the net a bit and still can't find alot of info on it.
I'm going to set it back to non-SLI and try just one card. That should help eliminate a potential question. I'm currently leaning towards a new mobo. --------- EDIT: Found a setting in Rivatuner that will disable the testing. I'll try that tonight first.

Disabling the internal test routing via Rivatuner seemed to do it.
Running a variety of tests but it solid at 478/1100 on air. Nothing to wild in the OC realm but the heat is definately on the rise.

Do you by any chance play WoW? I have a DFI Ultra-D board and an SLI bridge and have seriously been considering getting a second 6600GT. But the only game I'm seriously playing wtm is WoW. I've heard mixed things about whether SLI even works and if so if there is any performance boost in SLI mode.

Sorry man, I don't play WoW.
But I could pick it up and find out. Been looking for a good excuse. I do know that Empire Earth II doesn't use SLI at all. Splinter Cell: CT does -- and looks great.
