Has anyone here used/using a CFI block from Leufken Technologies. Thinking of getting one for my new rig. Its sounds like it has alot of potential. Are temps going to be better even though theres less contact area. Not worried about leaks. I can solve that problem with a gallon of silicon. lol j/k

I really think its a BAD idea. People have tried direct die cooling before, and have had some success, but I really dont like the risk's it brings with it.

I have to agree. Thats why I was going to add the silicon around it. I upgraded from a maze 1 to a maze 2 and liked it but I want something new and better performing for my new rig. The german blocks are nice but its too much trouble to go through in order to get one. Do you have any recomendations then Joe?

if you already have a maze1 and a maze2, I wouldn't bother, you won't find a block that will suddenly provide you with huge temperature drops.
the leufkens thing seems to provide ambient temps at idle, but when it is under load, the temperatures skyrocket. Also, incase of pump failure, you can guarentee you have one dead cpu |

Never thought of pump failure with the CFI block. Just a matter of 20 secs before it would burn up.
Thanks for the info. Thats why I come here for questions. Some one can always awnser them. |
