I'm just doing a bit of redesign for my system and decided on a dual loop, one loop Cu/brass for the cpu. the other Al for the gpu and hdd. I want to get away from mixed metal so this means an Al rad. Also space is fairly tight so it has to fit into a small space. I'm currently thinking 160x90x100mm including fans. I have this preliminary design for an Al rad, let me know what you think, better designs, existing products etc.

those dimensions REALLY dont look anything like what you have modeled
but i have a cool Low pressure Aluminum radiator if you want it perfectly fits 3 92mm fans same one on dangerden: http://dangerden.com/mall/radiators.asp "5 1/8" x 11" Low Pressure Drop Cooler" |

those were max dimensions, that fits the 160x90 and is thinner so would fit. An 11" rad is far far too big. 160mm max length means 6.5" max, not 11"
![]() Also I've scrapped the idea - going to run radless in the second loop.

Danger Den sell a 4x6" Hayden-style stacked plate rad that is less than 2" thick with two 80x25mm fans zip-tied to it. I've got one keeping a T-Bird 1400 at 49C (with a 250gph pump and OCWC polyblock), so it should be more than enough to cool your gpu and hdd.
[49C (ambient 29C) might not be that cool, but it's so quiet the sound of air movement in the apartment a/c is louder!] |

why not make up an Al box that is 60mm x 60mm x 20mm, and solder it onto the back of a normal socket hsf.
the rest of my idea should be fairly easy to figure out

As noted I decided not to bother, I might do something though, if I need more cooling. Will keep these ideas in mind.
