Default Opinions please. New WC sytem w/pics

This is my first WC setup. (other than koolance exos) I have a few questions. I've included some pics so please review and tell me what i should change.

I've gotta be doing something wrong... Maybe

X6800 & EVGA 680i. Silverstone TJ-07 case.(6 nexus 120mm, 2 nexus 92mm)
Swiftech STORM Rev 2
2 x Panaflo M1 Medium Volume 120mm Fans on rad (pushing)
Swiftech MCP655™ 12 VDC Pump
Black Ice® GTX Gen Two Xtreme 240 Radiator
Tygon 3603 1/2" ID Clear Tubing
Alphacool Cape Bullseye Anodized - Black Res
3/4 liter distilled water(Pentosin G11 Coolant Additive Blue coming from Petras)
Distilled water is only thing in system atm
Pump->Rad->CPU->Res

I'm getting some higher temps than i expected. Is it because i'm just using water (no coolant), not good enough equipment, or maybe something just isn't right. What coolant is recommended for use with the pentosin, or is that all i need. What do the WC Pros think?

At default bios settings. 2.93GHz Default vcore No overclock.

Idle
Speed Fan 37c
Core Temp Beta 0.94 42c
nVidia Monitor 36c
Bios 27c

Load(Orthos Small FFT)
Speed Fan 45c
Core Temp Beta 46c
nVidia Monitor 44c

Overclocked 3.80GHz 1.55vcore

Idle
Speed Fan 46c
Core Temp Beta 52c
nVidia Monitor 46c
Bios 36c

Load(Orthos Small FFT)
Speed Fan 64c
Core Temp Beta 67c
nVidia Monitor 64c

Temps are fluctuatin between programs. What do you all use to measure temps?

You don't need coolant but it helps prevent corrosion or microbe growth. The equipment is fine and bad temps is usually due to installation error.
If you think you messed up then I would go back and reinstall parts and check connections.

1.) Always check mounting. Make sure it's flat and tubing isn't pulling the block and everything is screwed in tight.

2.) Pump is running and you have good flow through the loop.

3.) Do you have panaflos on the rad? Looks like addas. Try putting more fans on it and see if there is an improvement. GTX need high cfm and plenty of air flow and is why I wouldn't suggest it unless you have 80-100+ cfm fans.

Actually i am 1 panaflo short. I have a busted knuckle to prove it lol. Using a scythe untill new one arrives. I'll order the high CFM panaflo to replace it. thanks for advice!

How far off are my temps? What should i excpect if everything is running right?
