Default Two Single Radiators or One Dual?

Has anyone had any experience using two single radiators to compare with using one dual radiator? I'm interested in how the cooling compares. It would be a lot easier to fit two singles than one double.

A single dual-radiator setup would be slightly less restrictive since it uses less tubing and has less 90 degree turns for the coolant to flow through. Its really all up to what you need. If you don't have a large enough space for a dual-radiator, then by all means use two single radiators.

Dual single-rads in series in terms of tubing is worse than a single dual-rad because of the extra "pass" of the radiator and the extra fittings/tubing.

Dual single-rads in parallel in terms of tubing can be better than a single dual-rad if plumbed correctly.

Dual single-rads in series in terms of air flow is bad. Efficiency of the second rad that gets the hot air of the first drops a lot. So putting one rad in the front intake and the second rad as the rear exhaust wont give you as good temps as having them both as intake or both as exhaust, situated in whatever way that they don't share air.

Sure you can't mod the top of your case to fit a double rad?

Well, I COULD mount it to the top of the case, but it would look really bad. I'm mainly considering attaching it to the inside on the top and giving up a few 5.25"s

Be aware that the choice of Rad(s), fans, pump, and tubing size is just as important as your dual-single vs dual choice. As a well set up single can outperform a poorly setup dual. Perhaps, if you posted your specs you would get answers to problems you don't even know about yet.

I'm mainly looking at the Lian Li 65 right now. I was thinking I could put my HD in a 3.5" bay, remove the casing for the HD, and put the power supply in its place. Any thoughts?

I LOVE my dual radiator setup. It works great man. I love my JPI Dual OTIS setup. I get temps at around 18c idle and 25c full load on the cpu.
