Although we have since upgraded to active directory at one time we were running an NT4 domain. Our config was a PDC and BDC in our main site with a BDC in a remote office site connected via 256 frame relay link. We have a SNAP 4100 in each site.
At one time we lost connectivity over the WAN through a telco problem for an extended period of time and we had problems in the remote site because the snap server there wanted to only authenticate with the PDC which wasn't available to it. At the time we addressed the issue by setting the snap server to specifically look to the BDC in the remote site. I am setting up a test environment I have lost the information on how I accomplished this and wonder if anyone can help please. |
