I have learned more than one thing just by reading this thread.

I just joined to learn about water cooling and say hi to everyone.

At least up to the point that Bill left. Not sure about other folks, but I really appreciated his role in persecuting crud. It made the p[lace a bit lest comfortable for newbies - they had to learn to either be able to back statements up with data or to clearly label things as opinion - but we had a really good signal-to-noise ratio.
So who do we nominate for our Spanish Inquisition? Before you think about that being me - I've tried and found myself wanting - the best I seem to be able to muster is the occasional incredulous really? - hardly the stuff crud-persecutions are made of...

Yes, he was quite caustic (I didn't do him justice in my attempts above) - but IMHO he did a lot to get folks (newbies in particular) thinking about things like causal thinking, limiting induction, questioning sensors, and, for that matter, questioning assumptions.
I rather liked it - and, yes, he certainly growled at me from time to time. It kept me (and maybe more of us than just me) honest - in the sense of not jumping to conclusions about what a few observed data points might mean, and being very clear about stating which things were my observations, why I thought they might be valid, and any generalizations I might be making from those observations.

That's a great setup you have there, alot like mine in fact

I moved one of the drive cages to keep the extra 3 drive bays.

Cooling performance 'could' be effected by the pushing fans but the front fan and rad combo can be removed using the 2 spring-loaded Lian Li screws for easy filter cleaning and the rear I usually just wipe off the back grill every month or so (and both my fans are 38mm intaking air from the outside, both front and rear) but the difference isn't major enough to warrant changing my setup and pulling hot air from the mosfets through the rear radiator isn't something I want to do when this case is so 'open' to the environment. Because of this all my fans push cool air into the case and heat rises and comes out the top front and rear of the case nice and steady, and it's usually fairly cool air as well. I just 'sat' one of the ADDA 120's that came with the case between the front 5 1/4 perf grills and the relocated drive cage. It fits snug and doesn't move or rattle and provides additional air to the drives, additional air to the mosfets, and looks good too

I love the setup, all in the case, good temps, and nice and quiet... you'll love it when it's done.

This is my first venture into water cooling and I did a great deal of research first however I made compromises in the rad set since my primary concern was 'quiet cooling'. I'm sure many of the members here know a great deal more than I, however I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have because I've had experience with this similar setup.

Just yesterday I flushed my system and replaced all the tubing. I also, just for experiments sake, turned the rear fan around so now it blow out the back of the case. So the intakes pull in the front and the rear pulls through the rear rad (makes the rad easier to clean) and out the back. I also altered my water loop to accomodate this change. The water comes out of the pump, into the warmer (because of the motherboard heat draw) rear rad, then down to the lower cooler rad and up to the cpu, gpu, nb, and back to the res.

Surprisingly the setup cools better! The mosfets are 3C cooler and the CPU, GPU, an NB have all dropped 1C as well. So it did make a difference and I'm glad I tried it out finally.
