I have two Snap Server 1100's and three Snap Server 1000's that I have been able to upgrade to 250Gb and 500GB, thanks to this forum!
I would really like to get them to work in a Windows 2003 Active Directory. It appears that I need to upgrade to SnapOS 4.0.860 for the drives to work in the AD. The drives are registered with Adaptec and I did download the 4.0.860 upgrade file from Adaptec. It doesn't work because the drives are currently using 3.4.805 and I think a higher version is needed for the upgrade to work. I have looked all over Adaptec's website and online store. I found other software but not the actual SnapOS. Anyone have a website, phone number or contact to get/buy the OS? Thanks, Kevin |

This one is easy....
Step 1 - Call Adaptec Sales/Customer Service Step 2 - Take out your wallet and pay them $200 for the full version Step 3 - Download the full version they will give you a link to Step 4 - Install the full version Wha La! And yes, I am a smart ass (nothing new). But that is the legal and official answer... Meaning, the answer you will find on this forum and most other places.
