Re: Re-release GOS 5
They are also saying that all upgrades should be done through the CLI in recovery mode so you don't have to contend with all of the running services like CA eTrustAV etc???

Re: Re-release GOS 5
Quick Question Phoenix...
Do you have a written step by step procedure for upgrading to GOS 5 from the recovery console? I am attempting to take an18000 from GOS 3.1 to 5.0.xxx but no luck so far so I am trying 4.4.049 first... I guess that is probably a prerequisite anyway? (that was actually 2 Q's...!) Update 1 45 mins later; this puppy gets stuck at ****ramdisk**** after the reboot, what a X+Y=F! Update 2 24 hrs later ****ramdisk**** might mean you ate in the recovery console and you should try the other ip address... Then update from 3.2.xxx to 4.0.xxx then to 4.9.xxx then try 5.0.xxx... Result... I cannot find the nice page with the unit picture as yet but there is no mention of overland as yet... Last edited by MaddMatt; 09-18-2008 at 05:04 AM. Reason: updating information |
