SNAP 4500 and WOL
Does any one know if the Snap Server 4500 supports WOL?I know this is a very odd question, but seeing that the unit makes such a large noise and that I have it in my bedroom, i only want the unit to be on when I require data to be accessed. I know this isn't what it is supposed to do, but I'm inclined to use it like this. My plan is to WOL the unit when I need data and then I would just shutdown when done.
I had a look in the BIOS but nothing suggests this is possible. Are there any BIOS upgrades that would allow this? Cheers in advance. |

Re: SNAP 4500 and WOL
Not that I'm aware of. Design to be hammered for 24/7. These are server room units. I have mine in a cabinet with doors to keep the noise down.
