Hi, I have the following Powervault, but have not been able to upgrade to snap_sys_34805.sup or snap_sys_40830.sup with the Assist tool.
This is what I have...any ideas? Model Software Hardware Serial# BIOS 705N 3.1.603 (US) 2.2.1 551707 2.4.437 |

Re: Unable to upgrade
Do you have the Dell OS version on the snap? If so you need to change a flag in the bios for it to use the SnapOS.

Go to http://your705N/config/debug Issue the following commands in that command window in this order: bios unlock bios oem none bios lock reboot When the system comes back up, you should be able to upgrade the OS with your SUP file. If Assist doesn't work, you may need to do it from the web interface. The box may also complain about missing language files until you upgrade it - that's a consequence of changing the OEM flag without changing the software on the drives. |
