Replace Drives in a Snap Server 210
I currently have a Snap Server 210 running GuardianOS 4.3.007 SP3. I've outgrown the unit and I was wondering if it is possible to replace the 2 x 500GB Hitachi Deskstar drives with 2 larger drives, like 2 x 1.5TB drives, which are around $125 ea.
Is there a guide to doing this? compatibility issues? Can the guardian OS be mirrored to the new drives, or does the OS live on a chip/in firmware. I'm trying to wrap my brain around how it works and what is possible. I willing to experiment. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Thomas |

Re: Replace Drives in a Snap Server 210
The newer GOS units have been hit and miss. Some have not had any problems while some were unsucessful. The procedure is basicly the same for all units. Use the search feature to find the procedure.
