snap server 210 huh?

I am assuming the one of the drives on my 210 failed. With both original drives, it won't boot fully but with what I assume is the offending drive out, it will boot and I can use the machine although I have to keep setting the options for network, IP, etc.
I bought a new drive and stupidly thought that I could just plug it in and it would work. No luck, whether with the raid still set or the raid removed. With both on, it just boots and the activity light just blinks amber-green.
What the heck? Any clue?

Have not worked on a 210, but with GOS you normally need to set the new drive as a spare. Then have it resync to rebuild the mirror in your case.

I think most all versions of the GOS are similar. You login as admin, drives. select the unused drive, then set as spare. Once set then you go the where the share are listed (broken) then tell it to rebuild using the spare. Some Version of the GOS did this automaticly, some did it as soon as they see a spare. Then some version you had to tell it for each steps. I current have my turned off so the selection may be off a little since I did this from my aging brain....

if I put the 2nd drive on, the prior bad or the new, I can't login at all nor does it boot all the way.

Like I said I have not messed with a 210 so I do not know what it's hardware options are. Are you using a static IP or DHCP? Have you tried adding the drive once you booted the server.

i have my router assigning it a specific ip address address. The 210 does not have hot-swappable drives.
I'm going to reach out to overland also to see if they can or will help.
