A cheap $79 digi cam isn't worth it.
I have a 1.3MegaPixle cam that I paid 450 for 2 years ago.. Now they're relativly cheap, but take great pictures.

I don't know what is the best 2-3MP camera but if you want a 4MP then get the Canon G2. I have one and it takes awesome pics. But it costs 700+ bucks. I bought mine for 600 online but the prices have gone up lately online. Dell sells it for 720 or something like that.

olympus d-360l >pos< 1.3mp
![]() if i went back i would >not< have bought this camera, works *great* but the company doesn't uh... understand service. been ::counts fingers:: almost 2 years now and they still haven't sent me my damn serial adaptor like they said they would serveral times durring the 1st 2 months of owning this device. SO - if your buying a camera make *sure* all the adaptors and crap you need come in the box, not 'get it free with copon' bs. else you will end up having to buy a flash card reader like me ![]() it takes does take pertty slick pics loL - gets confused about color when under tungston bulbs - not so bad under floresent, GREAT under that big fireball in the sky, next best thing is it's flash with low ambient tungston - i mean dark babe. KK now that you know not to buy this camera you also know how to shoot photos that don't look like poo with it ![]()

the D360 is the same camera I have. Nice in most cases, but piss poor in others.
I am just buying a 1.5Mp Sony DV camera that will do better stills than the olympus and do video.

Sony Cybershot S75. 3.3MP. Great camera, takes crystal clear pictures w/ it's Carl Zeiss lens. You can see the quality at http://pictures.zoson.net/ Most of those were taken at 2.11MP to save space on my memory stick, and the ones marked with -s are only 800x600 resolution to make it easier on slow connections

My boss has a Kodak DC4800 that I borrow whenever I need some digital shots. It's one helluva camera.
- 3.1 megapixels - 3X optical zoom (plus another 2X digital zoom) - comes with 16mb CompactFlash card You can pick one up over at Amazon.com for only $549.99. ![]()

The s75 gives you the most bang per buck. It does everything the s85 does, but is 3.3 MP instead of 4MP... Unless you're doing major detailed photo work, i don't think 4MP is necessary.

Yah I paid $300 for my Olympus D-360L. It is a great camera, though. Same one Joseph of ProCooling uses.

Look at the Nikon CoolPix 995.....3.3 MegaPixel....Lith-ion battery and charger....lots of good features. Was $900, but recently dropped as low as $450-$500 at various online stores.

I got a Minolta S404. I'm too lazy to read the manual and try differnet stuff to get the best pics, but it takes sweet pics if you let it work on auto mode with its selectable flash modes. I'm still learning all of the features, but I love this camera
