Default A very easy, cheap, and professional fan duct

lets say you have a BI with mounting holes for a 120mm fan. you obviously want to make a duct to improve performance.

buy another 120mm fan, and cut out the motor and the blades. Now you have a 25 or 38mm thick duct, that is guarenteed to fit perfect, looks professional, and if you bought the fan from mpja.com, very very cheap.

I just did this with a 92mm fan, and the airflow was definately much much straighter, and there was no central dead spot

heh, believe it or not I burnt a Panaflow H1A about a year ago and put it in a box. When I constructed my bong cooler with 4" PVC I took the motor and blades out of the middle, and used the motor pedistal to center my showerhead in my tube leaving the fan plenium unused. Leater when I ditched the Bong and temporarialy went back to a Dangerden Cooling Cube I used the empty planium as a 120mm shroud as described above. You're right, it really works well. Good tip Brad.

I thought about getting my camera out, but really it's just too simple to warrant it, anyone can get this happening inside 5 minutes
