List of benchmarks and tweak utilities... please advise..
This is not a cooling issue, but this is really the only forum I'm using right now..
I think it would be good to round up a list of tweaks and utilities and benchmarks. I'm not sure which are best to use for different purposes, and where I can get them. Specifically, I need to benchmark my HD performance under WINXP. I'm running a RAID setup, as well as a SCSI rig, and I hear that WINXP has issues w/ RAID and SCSI. Also, when I get my CPU sufficiently cooled, , I want to tweak it out. Any references you all can provide would be appreciated.

3DMark2001se video (and system and CPU to a degree) benchmark
PCMark2002 total system benchmark from MadOnion; i havent tried this. SiSoft Sandra 2002. benches everything, gives a lotta info on everything, a good program to have. HDTach hdd performance test (SiSoft also has one) Powerstrip (i use this to OC my R8500) Motherboard Monitor monitor temps, RPMs, voltages, etc. good to have... CPUID gives CPU info Prime95 its a good stress test for the system and CPU. 3DMark and SiSoft make good stress-testers as well. |

HDTach is the accepted benchmark for sustained read and write speeds. Sisoft's bench is dodgy at the best of times...
