$400 each, and the raid controller was anoter $300
Its a bad ass server. 1 gig ddr ram. SWEEET! I was playing with the raid 5 today, In the software that came with the card, I could kill one drive, totally whipe it while the machine was running, and it would rebuild the drive without missing a beat.

hey upallnight, U got a Private message.

UpAllNight, did you make a cut in the front of your case to allow better airflow for the heatercore? There's only grating for two 80mms. I'm basically getting the same watercooling setup as you, except with a heatercore from dtekcustoms.com. I plan on cutting the front of the case to allow the fan to work better.

Also, how did you mount the radiator and the pump? Are they attached to the case or just sitting there?

One last question: How did you go about setting up your T-fitting for filling up and bleeding? Is it that one long tube going up past the drive cage towards the top? How did you fill up?

Thanx brad

well my fan shroud is made out of .03 thick sheet metal and welded on the edges...its a very tight fit to my rad so i dont have anything holding it to my rad...and yes i did attatch my rad to my case with some 6-32 threaded rod and JB weld...and i cut a square out of the front of my case...and drilled 4 holes to mount my rad with...needless to say shroud was the worst part..the pump is just sitting there on top of a mouse pad...check out the right up on the homepage of this site for the way to bleed and fill a closed lood system...thats where i got my info from

I built the same thing for a company I used to work for. Cept mine had 6 x 36gb SCSI 3 ultra160's raid5 with one as a hot spare. Wish I could've kept it too ;-) . Mine was a 2x p3 1ghz on a supermicro board.

oh yea was also wondering, do you have the fan pushing or pulling, and also I saw you have a floppy drive in there, so I gather you aren't using the fan that mounts in the HD case. Are you worried about your HD getting hot?
