Yes... school is very overrated. I hate my highschool. I learn so much more when I am at home. BTW, does anyone know where i can get the blue LEDtronics LED for the DD5. It looks like Ledtronics only sells to businesses.
Thanks

have you tried mpja.com, allelectronics.com, radioshack.com? one of those might be an idea.

I was looking for the LEDtronics led that is the exact same size as the current DD5 LED. It is the one ck42 used for his mod.

thats what i was wondering, simply putting in LED's wouldn't work right, you'd have to change the polarizing film.

Simply puting in green leds turned my background color to green. It waorks fine. But if I get polarizing film like what ck42 used, I can make the BG black and the text green. This will look better for my case.

I know this thread is a few months old, but I was just looking at that DD5 mod, and I MUST have it! has it been revealed where ck42 got the polarizing film, or has someone found somewhere else to get those LED's and the film?

Man.. it's been a LONG time since I've been here...

Great big internet at our fingertips, and nobody can find a source for polarizing film? Maybe we have the wrong name for the stuff. I thought someone once told me they usually have some at photography stores. Mmm.. As for the LED's, someone like Cole should buy a batch of them, and then re-sell them to us in pairs for the mods.
Or better yet, someone should just pre-mod DD5's, and sell them that way..

You can get it at Edmund Scientific. It is I think about $7 for a sheet, and then $7 for shipping. You only need a little, so I have been putting strips in envelopes and shipping for $3 (2 for $5 just like uhh something else)

I will see if I can dig up the link...
