so what to seal the danner with?
Will be sealing a danner 5 soon. I have silicone, great white pipe joint compound with teflon, sportsmans goop. I may need to take it apart in the future. I was thinking of just going with silicone, will this hold up?

i used Permatex water pump / thermostat housing RTV silicone to seal the housing (which you will need to do, because it will leak). you can buy it from any auto-parts store for 2 bucks.
i used teflon tape to seal the brass barbs i put on. the pump was tested for several hours and it did not leak. |

you think some GE kithen and bath 100% silicone is good enough? The kind for a caulk gun. That is what I have.

as long as it can provide a watertight seal it should be ok for sealing the housing. do not use it to seal the barbs tho, use teflon tape only.
