Default I GOT A HEATER CORE!!!

Used, from a scrap yard, for like $4

it's got a lil rust in it, but OMFG does it have alot of shit in it, I ran my garden water hose through it, and it's still got crap in it, is there any real good way to clean one of them puppies out?

right now I have it in a closed loop with my Rio 1100 pump, with tap water, anti-rust stuff, and some radiator flush.

I think I am gonna let it go all night.

any tricks out there?

Here's a crap pic of my heater core:

The guy from the scrap yard I bought it from told me to just let it set in a bucket for a few days with some grease cutting soap or deterrgent... I did that, and then did a similiar trick with the garden hose (cut an old hose up and clamped it to the inlet and turned it on full blast ... that pretty much cleaned it.

I went to the auto parts store and made the counterguy show me every radiator in the place, till I found the right size. It's a Ford replacement heater core. Brand new for $20.00.

go to a shop that does AC repairs. they got this stuff you put into a pump sprayer. Its some type of acid it will smoke like a bitch but when you wash it off with tap water everything except the bare metal will be gone! I have used it to clean gloged AC fins. Its eats anything none metalic.

Yes, I do like the heater cores too! I picked mine up at Trak Auto for 16 bucks. Just called a Ford replacement heater core. Actual price was 22 but a buddy who works there got me a 20% discount and a bottle of water wetter for $6. Also if you want some of that UV Dye that glows with a black light, It's not too hard to find. Go to any of you auto repair shops and ask if they have some. No need to pay online 10-15 bucks... If the shops don't give it to you for free They may charge 5 bucks. I have seen it on line for 14.99 for 1 ounce. I bought a bottle next door (8 oz) for $19 And I will share with my buds... Hehehe 8 Oz is enough to damn near color a lake.
