Default Black Ice Xtreme shipping 2nd week November

My choice of radiator is one of the last things holding up building my new system (that and maybe Joe's waterblock review ) so I'm really excited to see this thing. Should have some pics up soon at HWLabs.

it sure looks spiffy, but I really don't know if I would trust the OCWC specs they list. I'll wait for Joe or someone else to review it before I know what to really think about it. Frankly it reminds me of a Chevette heatercore, but probably costs about 3x as much.

It should be cool. What's supposed to perform better? BI2 or BIX?

It looks like the BI-X is rated higher, but only has the size for 1 fan where the BI-2 is bigger and can hold 2 fans.

I would expect the BI-2 to out perform the BI-X because of the available airflow VS. the increased flow on the BI-X.

I wonder why the BI2 and BI X aren't shipping with the mods that OC-WC does to them if they really improve performance....

True true... but I wouldn't be surprised if these are already implemented standard in the radiators. I think, at least in the case of the BIX, it has a different internal design so this mod isn't needed, but i'm not sure.
