Default Prime 95?

I just downloaded Prime 95 from www.mersenne.org/freesoft.htm as everyone says it's the best way to check if your CPU is running right. It will only make it into the second or third test and say hardware error!!! I even tried de-clocking my CPU from 1655 to factory 1400 and still same error! Has anyone else had problems? My CPU runs cold.. 40c by ASUS and 33c slug by DigiDoc 5. Max during Sandra is 50c ASUS and 44c DigiDoc 5 on slug. My system is VERY stable. It never crashes!

Thats not good. Prime basically runs calculations millions of times on the same data. If even a single error is made it will let you know. I've never heard of it giving false readings either.

Well I installed the app and am currently on test 67. I was running Tribes2 for a half hour, then cs for a whole hour. No problems.

Nice to know.

Ya, I've never had a single instability problem. 44c is the hottest my system ever gets at 1650 measured right from the slug side witha DigiDoc 5 at 1.95v running Sanda for a long time (the room temp climbs more than anything). The 50c is from the ASUS thermister which is very innacurate.

Maybe it doens't like something else on my system, I'll try it on a couple other computers.

Thanks For The Responses!
