Is there anyway to polish the lexan top to a Maze 3. I tried to scrape of the caulk that seals the factory hose barbs and got some light scratches on the lexan. Then to add to that, i tried to fix it up with some 600 sandpaper, well needless to say that didnt work. So is there anyway to cleanup the light scratches. thanks for the help.

I think in Plexicase tutorials people use a lighter to deblurr sanded edges of plexiglass, or any plastic stuff like that. So you can prob try sanding the scratches with some real fine sand paper and use a lighter with it (best to practice on a scrap piece of plastic so you don't screw the pooch)

nooooooo, dont use sandpaper on that! you need a special plastic polish to polish the scratches away. you might try looking in a glass store....

And using a lighter can quite easily ruin it totally, real plexi people use acetylene torches (I'm serious) for this, lighters work fine on scratched cd's though if you're willing to risk it

Yes you can if you're careful, CD's are made of polycarbonate (which is lexan's chemical name BTW), and I've succesfully saved several CD's, both printed and CD-R's with a normal lighter. You just need to practice a little first.
