a res doesn't affect temps, its merely for convenience.

as for your problem, get pan 1ha fans, throttle em up. also you could see what a reverse flow would do (just reverse polarity on the fans.)
finally, you could get a second blackice and put it on the other end of your nice duct. and have the flow go in series (I guess)

There will be little to ne effect on temps w or w/o a res. Just makes it a lil' easier to fill/bleed.
I have a couple questions. 1) Is that really a 1250? 2) How have you attached it to ur case? 3) Closer pics of pump and rad? 4) Noise level and vibration level of case? 5) Do you have 2 fans on that blackice?

As for temps, I think your fans are pretty good. I'd guess you have poor contact between the Maze and the die. Make sure the nuts are compresing the springs almost completely. |

Not to change the subject, but what kind of light do you have behind the bezel of your case? Is it El Cable, or a neon tube? I just ask because I'm going to be doing the same thing...

Sorry hehe ive been away and stuff.
1) Is that really a 1250? 2) How have you attached it to ur case? 3) Closer pics of pump and rad? 4) Noise level and vibration level of case? 5) Do you have 2 fans on that blackice? Yes its a eheim 1250 with the fron "bezel" or that part with the filter removed 2: i bored holes in the bottom attatched it to the bottom with a old mousepad under.. 3: i could fix more pics.. but later on take my icq uin : 12941451 4: noise is almost none. vibration.. if i remove the side of the case.. it starts to vibrate because one empty hdd slide.. but if i put a hdd in there it wont vibrate anything or sound anything 5: i do have one fan attached to the black ice.. the other is at the back.. Now for the other guys here.. well i was figuring a little.. i have a DANGERDEN T fitting in Nylon.. wich has about a PINHOLE Inner diameter.. i didnt know that it would block that much.. will a T fitting from the hardware store make my system perform better? .. thanks alot.. and sorry for beeing slow on the reply :>

Either you've got no flow (or low flow) or you've put too much thermal paste. Happened to me, using Arctic Silver. It's so thick it won't squeeze, but 'stay' over the core. I removed the DD block, cleaned the mess up, used a razor blade to apply the thinnest coat i could then refit the DD block. Result: a drop of about 10°C !
About water flow just use a free tube and a basin. Look at how far it can shoot this coolant. If all you got is a trickle that's it. |

Ill try that with a razor.. well i bought silicon rubber tubing today.. and 1/2" Fittings wich will not block the system since the fittings are greater ID than the tube and im building a res out of a 12 oz aircraft tank ( thanks UnaClocker ) :P
