I completely agree with him, all of the 9700 'reviews' were pure crap

In my world... respect is given until respect is lost...
There respect is about as lost as a blind man in a giant hamster ball....

IMHO, that guy is an nvidiot who can't stand to see them behind for a change.
If any of you really knew me well, you'd know that I'm probably the most sceptical person there is when it comes to product reviews/etc. But when every single review I can find of a product says the same thing, chances are there's some truth behind it, and in this case that truth is that the 9700 is kicking the geforce4's ass. nVidia is a company out to make a buck, that is all. Their marketing and competitive practices leave much to be desired, their PR practices with the online news/review sites are horrible, and finally their card isn't in the top spot anymore. nvidia stands to lose a lot of money and marketshare in the next few months - I think it's gonna be interesting to see how it all plays out. |

The 9700 may well kill the GF4, however, that does not excuse their 'benchmark control'.
Yet at the same time I can see them not wanting 'solid' numbers put out yet as the product isn't finished. word spreads quickly, good or bad, though bad spreads quicker. Gotta love human facination with the negative. I look at it like this. The card definately has potential. I'll wait until after it's been out a little while, see some real numbers, then maybe I'll buy one. Then again, I'm still using a GF2mx. Maybe one day I'll get time to upgrade mine instead of everyone elses. ![]()
