Default Temp Sensor-- Where?

I am building a new watercooled system and I am adding some CompuNurse for temp monitoring in the res, GPU and CPU.

On a P4, where would I put the sensor? On AMD I would put it touching the core. Same for P4? Should I even bother since it is not a critical as with AMD?

On an GF4 Ti4600, is mounting on the back OK? If not, next to the core also?

What kind of tape should I use to attach the sensors (I have already used up the ones that came with the CompuNurses)?

Thanks

P4's have on die thermal diodes that report in MBM. You would stick it nearest the core for an external reading.
