Sup fellas, I am in the process of making my h20 setup, I have all the parts and ideas together. However, I have found a bump in the road. I have one case which has my gear in it (mobo, cpu, etc.) which will only house the waterblock via tubes coming thru the back. In a little case which will be to its side is the Rad, Res, Pump. I have a neon in the case as well as panaflo l1a 120 on the heatercore. I would like to avoid having power cords going between the two computers so is there any way i can use an old power supply to power the fan/neon? I was under the impression that for the psu to be on it needed to be plugged into the mobo and turned on via the jumpers, is there a way to get around it to i can have a switch for the psu on/off without the mobo?

If its old enough it will be AT. Then you just flip the switch and its on.
If its newer its ATX and then you need to short the green wire. CHeck this out http://www.virtual-hideout.net/guide...ds/index.shtml You'll need to do some sort of mod to make it easy to turn on. It needs momentary contact, so some sort of push button type switch would work. |
